FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Makes Nu Omega Chi different?

As a younger organization, we take pride in the fact that we are constantly growing and developing. Being a part of Nu Omega Chi means that you have a chance to directly contribute to building an organization from the inside. The unique challenges that come with an organization like ours also creates unique opportunity to develop leadership skills and help make history.

Why is a woman one of your Founders?

We are a family, so we believe it is equally important for our young men to have a motherly figure within the organization. As a woman, our Founding Mother has guided us and provided an invaluable perspective.

How do I join?

All prospective members must complete our New Member Education program to be granted full membership into Nu Omega Chi.

Interested men can email us at Membership@NOX13.org with inquiries.

Will I be hazed?

We adhere to a very strict Anti-Hazing policy that all members are expected to follow and uphold. If you or someone you know has been hazed, please contact us immediately so that proper action can be taken.

ANTI-HAZING POLICY

Nu Omega Chi Fraternity, Inc. takes a very strong stance against hazing. Immediate action shall be taken should any member be caught partaking in the hazing of prospective or current members. Hazing is defined by the Fraternal Information and Programming Group as follows:

“Any action taken or situation created, intentionally, whether on or off fraternity premises, to produce mental or physical discomfort, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule. Such activities may include but are not limited to the following: use of alcohol, paddling in any form, creation of excessive fatigue, physical and psychological shocks, quests, treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, road trips or any other such activities carried on outside or inside of the confines of the chapter house; wearing of public apparel which is conspicuous and not normally in good taste, engaging in public stunts and buffoonery, morally degrading or humiliating games and activities, and any other activities which are not consistent with academic achievement, fraternal law, ritual or policy or the regulations and policies of the educational institution or applicable state law.”

Please contact us immediately if you or someone you know has been hazed.
